Cute Little Dead Girl

Ok ya really wanna ghost story? Here goes...

First of all, I want to start out by saying that this is a true story that takes place at my house. I guess it was about two and a half years ago when my family moved back into my 200+ year old house. It had been abandoned before we bought it and we had heard rumors about the house being haunted. We didn't really pay much attention though; nothing had ever bothered us, so it didn't matter. I was standing in the kitchen around midnight in mid July talking to my mom, when I got the strangest feeling that I was being watched. I looked over to towards the dining room and I saw a petite girl in a long old-fashioned dress. I had never shut up so fast in my life. I must have had some strange expression on my face because my mom asked me what was wrong. I told her about the girl and we both went to look around the dining and living rooms. The area where the girl was standing was a drastically different temperature than the rest of the room. I didn't sleep much that night, or the nights following. For the next week, strange things started happening. Food from the oven was missing. (It was bacon and I don't eat pork and my mom was the only other person around...) our dryer door would pop open after you shut it. I would hear moans and voices at odd hours of the night. I had been sleeping on the floor of my parents' room when I got a horrible feeling. I can't explain it really, but it was pure terror. My body was shaking and I was crying uncontrollably. Eventually, I drifted off to sleep, but it wasn't for long. I awoke to my mom's voice, "Joe, what the hell is that light doing on?" there was no light on and my dad was fast asleep. We don't know what it was, but I think it was a spirit. I doubt it was my mom's imagination, b/c both my dad and I saw it too. We did some research and found out that in the 1700's, when the house was being built, a young girl died in a fire (in a cabin behind the house). That's who I think I saw. I haven't seen her since, but to this day I am still wary of the dining room at 12:00 midnight.

Hope you all have a frightfully spooky Halloween!
Love always,
Cole ;P
