Dream on, Dream on.

Ok, here it is, but it's more of an experience than a story...

Even though I am 20 years old, I still have nightmares every once in a while. They usually come in sets or series for about four nights in a row, then they stop for a considerably long period of time. Not long ago I was experiencing one of these sets of nightmares. These, like the others, were usually manifestations of my worst fears (i.e.: "something bad" happening to Mandy). It was about the third or fourth night, and I wasn't expecting anymore nightmares. I settled down to sleep and began to dream. Then my visions turned into a kind of slide-show. The first picture was Mandy; I feared it was the beginning of another nightmare. Then came the really strange part, I was greeted with the voice of a middle-aged woman. She explained that she was using Mandy's face so that I would not be scared, and I wasn't. She explained to me her story in an effort to warn me about life after death. She said that after she died, she went to visit her family to say goodbye, but in doing so missed her chance to go on to the next life. As a result, she explained had to walk the earth with the other roaming souls, sharing they're stories to the living. She was trapped in her own lifeless world of purgatory. Suddenly I awoke, slightly shaken; I felt something lift out of me. If that wasn't enough, even though I was warmly dressed, and covered in a blanket, I felt the coldest sensation one could feel. Weird dream, or ghostly experience? You be the judge.
