Three Poems
"Beauty?"
No... I don't think I'll stay
I need a little time for myself
I'm lonely all the time, but I'll steal more anyways
I'm sorry if I'm distant, I'm just taking it in
And... I told her I didn't like the terminology
but I never mentioned why
I didn't offer an explanation
vocabulary had nothing to offer
we were stunned by her
And ... all I could say, is that I couldn't stay at that beautiful girls house
I didn't stay, because I couldn't say more than "its not my place"
Repeat and say "its ok, that she took her away, I missed my window by a day"
And I say "isn't this weather perfect"
"...for perfect reflection... on my perception of perfection"

"Pretty Kids"
sad songs make us cry
those boys with diaries had it right the whole time...
because love is for lovers,
and heartache is for the pretty kids...
the kids that are too ugly for love's eyes,
but perfect for her heart.

"The Worst Poem"
I said, "what a beautiful girl."
"what a curse to love beauty, when beauty is not beauty's nature"
You are a definition, not an example.
A smile is beautiful says Cicero in Cicero, or Rome, New York
and your look of disgust disgusts even the 'beauty' on you
nature gave your (Amanda) Hues vibrance
but... I prefer blue to vanilla...
and you....
you... always choose the roses
you always take the easy way out
I truly am sorry they stole your beautiful soul...
they must be arrogant to smile when they know that they are not your definition
a twinkle is seen in that small expression
a twinkle of the heart said to "not belong to ugly people"
but isn't it funny how much love beauty grants the less privileged?
You can't see it in your smile... but.. have you seen it in a while?
