As I get older and more cynical, I have to think of reasons to keep dealing with reality. Why the heck must everything be so backwards? The elections are coming up, and I have to choose between the lesser of two evils. People can't do nice things for each other anymore. There's a big ozone hole frying my head.

Recently, something struck me in an amazing way. Here I am, with an opportunity to post all this great work on the Internet for everyone to see and be changed by. Free.

How lucky am I to live the way I do? I have a computer linked to the Internet, the greatest and most accessible wealth of information anywhere ever. I am allowed to post any writers I choose, and don't have to worry about the government knocking down my door because of something offensive (not that CHAOS is all that offensive anyway).

I think that these less fortunate countries need computers too. What are YOU doing with that old 386 in your basement? I know of some people who could use it. Computers linked to the Internet can provide all the information needed to improve people's lives and countries' trading throughout the world. What a fantastic age we live in.

Besides, I wouldn't mind more readers...
